The Onboarding Process
Background Check
Any candidates that are 18 or older will be required to pass a background check. Six Flags utilizes an independent third party, Sterling, to conduct these checks. If offered, you will receive an email from Sterling to begin this process. |
Online Paperwork
All candidates that are offered a position will receive an email to complete their onboarding. Onboarding consists of your personal information, tax information, banking information, and give you a chance to review and sign off on our company policies. To begin your onboarding, wait for the email or CLICK HERE to log back into your application. |
I9 Verification
Federal law requires employers in the U.S. to complete Form I-9, Employment Eligibility Verification.
Form I-9 will verify your identity and employment authorization.
After filling out your Form I9 during your onboarding, you will be required to provide documentation in person to our HR Team. You can stop by the HR Office any time during operation to complete this step.

The Training Process
DISCOVERYDiscovery is 2 1/2 to 3 hour orientation into life at Six Flags Great Escape. This class can be done either at home or in-person.
(Yes, you will be paid for this class!) AT HOME DISCOVERY
After your hiring information has been processed into our system, you will receive an email with instructions on how to log into your Team Member portal and start learning. (Team Members under the age of 18 will need to register for a virtual instructor led class) In-Person Discovery
Just stop by the Human Resources Building during operating hours and let a Team Member know that you are there for Discovery. Our Human Resources Team will get you set up for the class on one of our computers or tablets. After you complete the class your department will reach out to you for your first day of work.

DEPARTMENT TRAININGAfter you complete DISCOVERY, your department will reach out to you for DEPARTMENT TRAINING. Before you start, stop by the Human Resources building to pick up your uniform and Team Member ID!
Depending on what position you are in, your training will be classroom style, online, on-the-job, or a combination of one or more of these. Unless told otherwise, please show up on-time and in uniform.
In Department Training, you will learn the ins and outs of the job you have been hired for. Please use this time to ask questions and prepare yourself for your new position. |
